Membership Information

Becoming a Member is a great way to become more involved with Camp Bethel. You can find the Membership Application in the link below. After filling out this application, you will also need to include: the Camp Bethel Statement of Faith signed by you, two letters attesting to your character and Christian lifestyle (only one can be from a Camp Bethel member and neither can be from a relative), and a current digital photo of yourself. Send the completed application to maw.watkins@sbcglobal.net. The deadline for applications is on June 1st of every year. Because the Membership only meets annually, candidacy is a two-year process. There is a year of consideration: you apply one year, and are voted on the next. Thank you for your interest in applying for Membership at Camp Bethel.

After an applicant has applied by June 1st, they will be interviewed by the Membership Committee that July. With the Committee’s approval, the applicants are then introduced to the Camp Bethel Membership at the Summer Annual Camp Meeting. Then, for the next year, a brief biography and pictures of the candidates will be published and posted to remind the Membership who is up for candidacy. At the Annual Camp Meeting the following year, they will be voted on, and after approval they will then become members. Camp Bethel’s programs and facilities are maintained by volunteerism, so at any point during or after the application process candidates will be reached out to by Camp Bethel Mentors to discuss volunteer opportunities.
