Membership Information
Becoming a Member is a meaningful way to get more involved with Camp Bethel. The Membership Application can be found at the link below. Once you complete the application, please include:
Your completed membership application
A signed copy of the Camp Bethel Statement of Faith
Two character references that speak to your Christian lifestyle
Only one may be from a current Camp Bethel member
Neither may be from an immediate family member
A current digital photo of yourself
Email all materials to al.durrell@att.net. Applications are due every year on June 1st.
Because the Membership meets only once a year, the candidacy process takes two years. You apply one year, and the Membership votes the following year. Thank you for your interest in joining the Camp Bethel community.
What Happens After You Apply
By June 1: Your application must be submitted.
In July: You will be interviewed by the Membership Committee.
Summer Annual Camp Meeting: With Committee approval, you will be introduced to the Membership.
Following Year: Your photo and a short biography will be shared with the Membership as a reminder of your candidacy.
Next Annual Camp Meeting: The Membership votes. If approved, you become a member.
Camp Bethel relies on volunteer support. During or after the application process, Camp Bethel Mentors may contact you to discuss volunteer opportunities.
To all who wish to join our multi-denominational Christian fellowship: together we can continue to strengthen this community of faith and preserve the rich Christian heritage of Camp Bethel.
